Driver Payroll Administrator

THIS position is located at our corporate office in Blaine, WA (appx 100 miles north of Seattle). THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

The main responsibility of the Payroll Administrator is to oversee the payroll procedures, resolve higher-level queries and requests from the management group. Must be capable of multitasking, customer relations and time management.
What Your Day Looks Like:
- Maintenance of driver records within payroll system; ensures accuracy and timeliness.
- Respond to driver inquiries in a diplomatic and efficient manner
- Carry out established rules and policies to ensure consistency in standard, and to protect company interests
- Process driver trip packets daily.
- Perform combination of routine calculating, posting and verifying duties to maintain record in accuracy.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
- Weekly filing and scanning of documents for safe keeping, and code documents for files according to company procedures.
- Pay employees by receiving and verifying expenses, backup documents and requests for advances.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential internally and externally
More About You:
- Transportation payroll experience required
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- Microsoft Office and experience in the use of Outlook, Word and Excel is a definite asset.

After Hours Logistic Specialist (GRAVEYARD)
Calling all night owls! Do you excel in fast collaborative environments? Join our After Hours team in beautiful Blaine, WA! Ability to thrive in this position if you are a skillful communicator, natural relationship builder.
Training:
New to the industry? No problem! We look for positive individuals who want to be part of a collaborative hard-working team. It’s our job to get you familiar with the latest trucking software, and technology with our training program, as you work alongside with your manager and peers.
This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Blaine, WA (appx 100 miles north of Seattle). This is NOT a remote position.
This position is performed in a general office setting using computers, phones and other office equipment. This is NOT a warehouse/shipping setting.
After Hours Logistic Specialist Responsibilities:
- Ability to input loads from scratch to load competition
- Contact customers to update if issues arise during after-hours with loads.
- Respond to complaints and resolve issues aiming to customer contentment and the preservation of the company's reputation
- Having the knowledge to process customs border paperwork for the team
- Schedule drivers to pick up and deliver loads to customers or vendors.
- Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company
- Update shipment tracking system and maintain timely data integrity.
- Prioritize time sensitive cargo / shipments
- Contact Drivers to update if issues arise during after-hours with loads.
- Interacts with the driver and or client to address any concerns or route changes
- Holding drivers to accountability of their assignment to meet company standards
- Plan drivers accordingly to ensure freight needs are met if problems occur at night in which prior plans are not able to be met for existing drivers and /or customers.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
- Transportation field industry desired but necessary
- Desire to start or continue a career in inside sales
- Eager to contribute to a high- energy environment. You will build your career in an office, over the phone alongside a team of your peers
- Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to get tasks completed over the phone, through email, and face-to face
- Able to and excited to build relationships with a wide variety of people, able to communicate with peers, truck drivers, dispatchers and business leaders alike.
